【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardgivesgeneralguidelinesforthedetectionandidentificationofthespecifiedmicroorganismCandidaalbicansincosmeticproducts.MicroorganismsconsideredasspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardmightdifferfromcountrytocountryaccordingtonationalpracticesorregulations.Inordertoensureproductqualityandsafetyforconsumers,itisadvisabletoperformanappropriatemicrobiologicalriskanalysissoastodeterminethetypesofcosmeticproducttowhichthisInternationalStandardisapplicable.Productsconsideredtopresentalowmicrobiologicalriskincludethosewithlowwateractivity,hydro-alcoholicproducts,thosewithextremepHvalues,etc.ThemethoddescribedinthisInternationalStandardisbasedonthedetectionofCandidaalbicansinanon-selectiveliquidmedium(enrichmentbroth),followedbyisolationonaselectiveagarmedium.Othermethodsmaybeappropriatedependentonthelevelofdetectionrequired.NOTEForthedetectionofCandidaalbicans,subculturescanbeperformedonnon-selectiveculturemediafollowedbysuitableidentificationsteps(e.g.usingidentificationkits).Becauseofthelargevarietyofcosmeticproductswithinthisfieldofapplication,thismethodmightnotbesuitedineverydetailtosomeproducts(e.g.certainwater-immiscibleproducts)OtherInternationalStandards(e.g.ISO18415)mightbeappropriate.Othermethods(e.g.automated)canbesubstitutedforthetestpresentedhereprovidedthattheirequivalencehasbeendemonstratedorthemethodhasbeenotherwisevalidated.
