【摘要】:TheAEexaminationmethoddetectsdamageinFRPequipment.ThedamagemechanismsthataredetectedinFRPareasfollows:resincracking,fiberdebonding,fiberpullout,fiberbreakage,delamination,andbondfailureinassembledjoints(forexample,nozzles,manways,etc.).FlawsinunstressedareasandflawsthatarestructurallyinsignificantwillnotgenerateAE.Thispracticeisconvenientforon-lineuseunderoperatingstresstodeterminestructuralintegrityofin-serviceequipmentusuallywithminimalprocessdisruption.IndicationslocatedwithAEshouldbeexaminedbyothertechniques;forexample,visual,ultrasound,dyepenetrant,etc.,andmayberepairedandtestedasappropriate.Repairprocedurerecommendationsareoutsidethescopeofthispractice.1.1Thispracticecoversacousticemission(AE)examinationormonitoringoffiberglass-reinforcedplastic(FRP)tanks-vessels(equipment)underpressureorvacuumtodeterminestructuralintegrity.1.2Thispracticeislimitedtotanks-vesselsdesignedtooperateataninternalpressurenogreaterthan0.44MPaabsolute(65psia)abovethestaticpressureduetotheinternalcontents.Itisalsoapplicablefortanks-vesselsdesignedforvacuumservicewithdifferentialpressurelevelsbetween0and0.06MPa(0and9psi).1.3Thispracticeislimitedtotanks-vesselswithglasscontentsgreaterthan15%byweight.1.4Thispracticeappliestoexaminationsofnewandin-serviceequipment.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsinparenthesesmaybeapproximate.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(Formorespecificsafetyprecautionaryinformationsee8.1.)
